• If you like to turn off your computer at the end of the day, USE START BUTTON and power it down. Don't just turn it off!
• Don't download anything unless you know where it's coming from.  Not everything is as it seems. 
• Learn Windows Explorer (computer life is sooooo much easier)
• Save your work frequently. This one easy click will save hours of heartbreak!
• Keep your account information, passwords and software installation disks (with registration numbers) in a safe place.
• If your password(s) are easy for you to remember, it might be easy for someone else to figure out. 
• Keep your antivirus software updated
• Scan your disk and defragment on a regular basis
• Never shop on any store website that does not have secure pages.  Look for https:// in the address line.
• Store tons of images, music or movies on a disk or external drive..not on your machine.  These things take up lots of room and will cause life to go real slowwwwwwww. We tell our clients to use an external drive to save their work to and let the computer only run the programs!
