Leave
Copy on Server
Leaving a copy
on the email server is not always a good idea since unless you are
in a good habit of deleting those emails, they will accumulate and
take up more and more disk space room. By default, this box
should be unchecked in your email client.
To check in
Outlook 2007:
| 1. Open
your email program and click "Tools" at the top then
"Account Settings" |
 |
| 2. In the next window
that appears, highlight your email account, then click "Change" |
 |
| 3. The "change
email account" window appears and you will notice a button
labeled "More Setttings" |
 |
| 4. At the top of
the next window, choose the "Advanced" tab. |
 |
| 5. Under the
"Advanced" tab, at the bottom of the window, see "leave
a copy of messages on the server". Unless you have
a specific reason, this box should remain UNCHECKED. |
